And the new year begins!

Hey Edge students!
It's been a while since we've posted on the blog....things have been a bit crazy around the office. We are entering into "mission season" and as LA, Mexico and other local service opportunities quickly approach, we are finding our to-do lists to be growing with each week.

How was your Christmas? Best/worst gift? Any good new year's stories? I welcomed in the new year on a ferry into Seattle while watching the fireworks. I definately recommend it as a great activity for future years.

Just the catch up on things, we just started a new series at the Edge called "Be the Change." Thanks to Ghandi and the many bumper stickers flashing his "Be the change you wish to see in the world" quote, we will be looking at how people have been/are changed by encountering Christ. I for one and totally excited about it and you should be too. In fact, if you have any examples or personal experiences of being changed by encountering Christ, please let us know your story!

We've just updated our "what's happening" section on the UPC website, so you can go there to get all the details on retreats and events. I will mention, however, that the guys and girls retreats will be taking place from Jan. 30th-31st. Registration is online (or at lease will be very soon...) and it will be lots of fun!

Ok well that's what's up for now. This is your intern julie saying happy 09! May this year bring you peace and many blessings!
